1926 Vintage Lester Stone power cruiser
Founded in 1883, by the early 1900s the Stone Boatyard was well known as one of the west coast's premier boatbuilders, at first primarily of commercial vessels and then private sailboats for most of the rest of the 20th century. Nancy Jane, built of carvel planked cedar, is apparently the only motor yacht the yard ever built and reportedly used by Lester Stone as his personal yacht for many years; she's one of the few vessels built by this storied yard still extant.
Once of the most charming boats you'll ever see, she's had extensive work done over the years including being refastened, and was repowered (reportedly some time in the early 1980s) with a Volvo diesel, last hauled two years ago and seems to be in sound condition overall. She's been lying Sausalito for the past 30 years, 17 as a liveaboard, and is a must-see for anyone in the market for a classic cruiser.
