Forward cabin has V berths and ensuite head, aft to U shaped galley down starboard with dinette port. Up aft to light, spacious galley from which up aft to pilothouse and aft deck or down aft to master stateroom.
Master stateroom has twin bunks port and starboard with a built in desk in between and private access to head with separate glass stall shower. Note the portlights built in to the transom; these are WONDERFUL but most examples of this model didn't have them.
Also note that the interior is bright and airy throughout and feels larger than expected on a 43 footer. Interior has been TOTALLY redone throughout and shows practically as new--note just the new flooring alone in the two staterooms cost almost $16,000!
Galley down, totally redone in 2012 at a cost of well over $20,000. Designer iron sink with hot/cold pressure water (20 gal. AC-fired hot water heater), GE microwave/ convection oven, under-counter refrigerator/freezer. Two Raritan fresh water flush electric heads.
Updated electronics including Garmin 740S color chartplotter with 36 mile radar overlay and depth sounder, Simrad AP28 autot pilot, Icom VHF radio. Intellian active tracking satellite receiver into 20' flat screen TV custom mounted in enclosed cabinet with DVD player.
110V AC / 12V DC. Fifty amp shorepower service along with Westerbeke 7kW genset (20012, this was a $10,000+ job) genset. Note vessel extensively rewired in February '05 with $18,000 paid then, more rewiring in 2014 (for the new interior lighting, running lights and helm--another $10,000!).
Carvel planked Phillippine mahogany with glued seams over oak frames with apitong stem, teak decks aft and Honduran mahogany superstructure, boat refastened in 2010 and the hull is as fair and bright as the day she was launched, as is all brightwork--this is as fine an example of a classic Stephens as you'll ever see.
Two foredeck mounted Danforth anchors with chain and line rode, Sampson post. Six mooring cleats, stainless steel stanchions with stainless caprail forward, varnished mahogany aft.
Note new (2014) Lewmar electric windlass with new hawse and custom polished stainless steel anchor guard on hull side--this is a beautifully fabricated installation (at a cost of about $12,000). Bottom stripped/reefed/recaulked, shaft logs and seven planks repaced and boat painted from the bottom to the toe rail (late 2021).
Just over 300 hours on brand new (in 2012) fresh water cooled Crusader engines with Z-F four-bladed DynaQuad props. Note this was a $45,000+ job.
