1986 Grand Soleil sloop

location icon Sausalito, California
Year 1986
Length 39 ft
Builder/Manufacturer Grand Soleil / Cantiere del Prado
Price
$54,000

Grand Soleil is not as well known in America as in Europe, where they continue to build semi-custom yachts in the 60-plus foot range. They've been compared to Wauquiez, Shannon and Swan and this is an opportunity to acquire a clean, substantially updated example at a very competitive price.

Over $300,000 was spent in '95-'00 upgrading this Swan look-alike: Still less than 700 hours on Yanmar engine installed 2000 with transmission rebuilt and new Bukh saildrive installed 2007, sails, rigging and winches replaced/renewed/rerun/serviced, interior redone (reportedly $30,000 in 1995 on the galley alone) in the late 1990s, dodger installed 2001, radar/chartplotter combination installed 2005, Bass electrical panel ($5,000), plumbed and wired for watermaker ($4,000), most house systems upgraded (including new batteries and inverter/charger, 2023).

The boat has only been sailed locally since and shows very nicely today--she was just detailed inside and out in late October 2022, and note she's the aft cockpit, deep keel, three stateroom version. And NO TEAK DECKS!

Also note vessel lying in a potentially transferable downtown Sausalito slip, there's always a wait for a slip in the downtown marinas so this is a material benefit if you're able to take advantage.

Price just significantly reduced, motivated out of state owner encouraging offers.
