1986 Hunter 28.5
The Hunter Design Group incorporated a powerful fractional B&R rig, with a modern underbody, resulting in a racer/cruiser with a fin keel and spade rudder that points, is easily driven and easy to handle in close quarters. She is powered by a fresh water cooled Yanmar diesel. Her interior utilizes a modern open layout forward with a huge U-shaped settee/dinette forward berth--there's no forward bulkhead to reduce the airiness of the salon!
The 28.5 one has everything you'd want even on a bigger boat--wheel steering, fresh water cooled Yanmar diesel engine, pressurized water, sleeps 4-6, plus is easy to handle and maintain. In addition, this particular example has newer electronics and a nice dodger, and shows well; she's also VERY competitively priced and will make a very nice first or reentry boat. Last hauled and bottom painted May, 2020.
